Quend-Plage, Baie de Somme.

According to my mother, I've been conceived on this beach.
Years later, I discovered love on this beach.
I think it's the most intimate part of land in the world for me.

Selfportrait.

chouette, et comme une douce nostalgie dans ce chapeau qui roule au vent du large..

The simplicity, intimacy, and softness are amazing.

you should definitely do more portraits.
i remember that series with the smiling boy.
it was amazing.

you have a knack for seeing the "pure" little things.

But I'm only at ease with my own person.

I have difficulties to do portraits of other people, don't know why.

I find it so strange how B&W can be so emotive. Maybe colors just over complicate things. I really like this; your pose shows a real kind of relationship with the area, almost as if you're bending over to talk to it.

If you would not have red the description, would you think the same ?

Lol...I don't know honestly. I had an English professor who refused to accept papers after we had discussed an author because he didn't want to, quote "talk to myself". My perspective is blemished now. Hmmm...Regardless of the description, there's still a lot of interplay between you and the beach. You could just as well be with a friend, but it's only you and the sand and your hat. Maybe. Maybe.
